Step-Up Day

On Monday, April 30th, all sixth grade students will be coming to Liberty Junior High for "Step-Up Day".  During this visit, students will be introduced to Liberty staff members, receive information about classes and basic procedures.  There is a permission form that will be sent home that needs to be returned to your home school.

We would also like to invite you as a parent, of an incoming seventh grader, to a "Parent Step-Up Night", at Liberty Junior High on May 2nd, at 6:30 p.m.  This is a great opportunity to become acquainted with our procedures and answer any questions you may have about your child's future, at Liberty Junior High School.

Seussical the Musical

Come join us for a great night of family entertainment!  The Liberty Junior High Drama Club will present, "Seussical the Musical". Tickets can be purchased at the door.  The cost of a student ticket is, three dollars, and four dollars, for an adult ticket.  The musical will be performed on, Thursday, April 19th & Friday, April 20th, at 7:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!

Powered Up

On Monday, 2/26/18, Liberty Junior High Patriots participated in the Powered Up Assembly to learn about the importance of saving energy resources. This website is part of the in-school energy conservation program, Powered Up, administered by The National Theatre for Children on behalf of ComEd®. This program is designed to empower students in grades 6-8 and their school communities to save energy. To reach our goal, ComEd customers at participating schools can sign up for a FREE Resource Kit to conserve energy at home. You can do your part by signing up for your FREE kit by May 31, 2018.


Our goal is to save 1 million kilowatt-hours of energy by May, 2018

Carnegie Learning has named two District 111 faculty members "Rock Star Middle School Teachers."  Congratulations to Stephanie Sablich at Liberty Junior High School and Amy Paulikaitis from McCord School!   Carnegie Learning asked both of those teachers to blog occasionally about their year working with the updated Carnegie Learning materials.

Burbank School District 111 will be conducting a Developmental Screening for 3-4 year old children.  The purpose of the screening is to determine the educational needs of your child.  Qualified personnel will conduct a developmental screening in the following areas:  Motor Development, Speech/Language, Thinking Skills, and Vision/Hearing.
