kindergarten Kindergarten Registration Opens March 4

Burbank School District 111 will be accepting kindergarten registration for the 2019-2020 school year.  Online registration opens March 4, 2019.  Your child must be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2019.

important School in Session on Pulaski Day - March 4

On January 23, 2019 the board held a public hearing for the proposed holiday plan.  At the regular board meeting that evening, the board approved the plan to conduct a regular school day on Casimir Pulaski’s Birthday, March 4, 2019, to make up for the emergency day used in November.  It is the intent of the District to treat this day as a commemorative holiday and coordinate activities, which would instruct students on the accomplishments of General Pulaski.  The last day of school for the 2018-19 school year will remain scheduled for Friday, June 7 if no more emergency days are used.    

Author Young Authors Contest 2019

District 111 is hosting a Young Authors Contest again this year.  The contest is open to all kindergarten through 8th grade students and submissions are due January 18.  The Young Authors Contest promotes writing and creativity by encouraging children to write an original story and present it in book form.

Open Drinks

Open drinks are not allowed on the bus or when entering the building.  Students are asked to discard any open drinks before entering the building. 

Cell phones Cell Phone Usage

All Cell Phones need to be powered off prior to entering the school building.  Cell phones should not be powered back on until students exit the building. 

IDs and Lanyards IDs & Lanyards

IDs and Lanyards need to be visible at all times.  If lost or broken, IDs and lanyards can be purchased in the school office.  A charge for a new lanyard is two dollars. 

Student Drop Off

Students entering door #14 on the east side of building, should arrive no later than, 8:25 a.m.  If your arrival time is after 8:25 a.m., please enter thru the main office door #1.  Students are expected to be lined up outside of their homerooms by, 8:30 a.m.

Uniform Dress Policy

Don't forget the uniform daily dress policy.  The following are not permitted for uniform dress wear: cargo pocket pants, leggings, yoga pants or yoga shorts.  Pants should be navy blue or black business casual pants, shorts or slacks. Shirts and tops should be, light blue or white colored shirts, blouses, tops, or polo shirts. Spirit wear is permitted on every Friday of the month.
