Teen Mixer at Burbank Water Park pool party

Burbank Park District is hosting a teen mixer on July 18, 7:15 - 9:30 pm, at the Burbank Water Park.  Event open to students in 6th through 8th grade.  Entry fee is $5.00.

We Built a Playground at Byrd School! kaboom logo

Over 200 volunteers from the CarMax Foundation and the Burbank School District 111 community joined KaBOOM! on Thursday, June 20, 2019 to transform an empty site into a kid-designed, state-of-the-art playground in just six hours at Byrd School.  A big thank you to KaBOOM! and The CarMax Foundation for all the support and contributions to making our students playground dreams come true!  Click here for a video slideshow highlighting Build Day at Byrd School.

Welcome to Liberty Junior High 2019!!!!  We wanted to provide some information to our families to help ensure success in the junior high.

Seamless Summer Food Program lunch

When school is out, thousands of children must search for nutritious meals – and too often these meals cannot be found at home.  USDA’s Summer Food Service Program and Seamless Summer Option help bridge the gap by providing FREE food to children at various sites in the community during the summer.

 

InfoSnap Enrollment is Open for New and Returning Students infosnap

New to District 111?   Just click the registration/enrollment link on the district website and start a new registration......New Student Registration.   Returning Students should have received a personalized letter via U.S. mail that includes a secure log-in (snapcode).  Simply enter your snapcode to start the process.....Returning Student Registration.

Liberty Addition Project Update construction

Plans for the Liberty Addition Project are well underway.  An informational meeting for the public was held on April 3.  Click here to view updated site plans, floor plans, and key spaces in the building.  

Stickney Township Offers Pre-School and Summer Programs rainbow

Stickney Township Youth Commission offers Summer Programs for children age 3-8 and Preschool for 3 and 4 year olds in the fall.  Programs are available to residents of Stickney Township.  Click here for additional program details and registration information. 

 

2019-2020 School Calendar calendar

The 2019-2020 Official School Calendar has been approved by the Board of Education.  Click here to view the calendar.

Open Drinks

Open drinks are not allowed on the bus or when entering the building.  Students are asked to discard any open drinks before entering the building. 

Cell Phone Usage Cell phones

All Cell Phones need to be powered off prior to entering the school building.  Cell phones should not be powered back on until students exit the building. 

IDs & Lanyards IDs and Lanyards

IDs and Lanyards need to be visible at all times.  If lost or broken, IDs and lanyards can be purchased in the school office.  A charge for a new lanyard is two dollars. 

Student Drop Off

Students entering door #14 on the east side of building, should arrive no later than, 8:25 a.m.  If your arrival time is after 8:25 a.m., please enter thru the main office door #1.  Students are expected to be lined up outside of their homerooms by, 8:30 a.m.

Uniform Dress Policy

Don't forget the uniform daily dress policy.  The following are not permitted for uniform dress wear: cargo pocket pants, leggings, yoga pants or yoga shorts.  Pants should be navy blue or black business casual pants, shorts or slacks. Shirts and tops should be, light blue or white colored shirts, blouses, tops, or polo shirts. Spirit wear is permitted on every Friday of the month.
