Mrs. Welsh is starting her first year as principal at Tobin School. She has worked in District 111 for 17 years. She was a classroom teacher at both Tobin and Kennedy School and served as Assistant Principal at Kennedy School for three years. Most recently, Mrs. Welsh served as an Instructional Curriculum Coach throughout the district.
Mrs. Welsh graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Northeastern Illinois University. She holds a Master’s Degree in both Curriculum & Instruction from National Lewis University and Educational Leadership & Administration from Governors State University.
Mrs. Welsh has been married for 13 years and has 4 children, 2 lizards, a dog, a turtle, a snake, and a tarantula. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and spends much of her extracurricular time watching her kids compete in sports and clubs.
