Park District Teen Mixer dance

The next Burbank Park District Teen Mixer is Friday, April 5 at Liberty from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  6-8th grade students only. $5 at the door with valid school ID.  Click here for more information.

 

Daisy Girl Scout Events girl scout

The Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana are hosting two events for Daisy Girl Scouts.  Click here for more information. 

At-Risk Pre-School Screenings pre-school screening

Burbank School District 111 will be conducting a Developmental Screening for 3-4 year old children on May 1.  The purpose of the screening is to determine the educational needs of your child.  Qualified personnel will conduct a developmental screening in the following areas:  Motor Development, Speech/Language, Thinking Skills, and Vision/Hearing.  Click here for more information.

 

 

Clusters Clothing and Equipment Resale clusters sale

Clusters Moms of Multiples, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting mothers of twins, triplets and more, is hosting a Clothing and Equipment Resale on Saturday, April 6 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at Central Middle School in Tinley Park.  Click here for more information.

Liberty Addition Project under construction

Plans for the Liberty Addition Project are well underway.  In order to keep our community informed, a public meeting will be held April 3 at 7:00 pm. 

Stickney Township Offers Pre-School and Summer Programs rainbow

Stickney Township Youth Commission offers Summer Programs for children age 3-8 and Preschool for 3 and 4 year olds in the fall.  Programs are available to residents of Stickney Township.  Click here for additional program details and registration information. 

 

One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest Winners Announced young earth

Burbank students win One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest!  This year, the One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest drew a record 157 entries from as close as River Forest, Illinois, to as far away as Hawi, Hawaii, with film topics ranging from plastic pollution to E-waste to fast fashion.  

 

Blooming Expressionists Art Exhibition art fair poster

District 111 is hosting a district-wide art exhibition on April 9 at Prairie Trails Library.  Students in Kindergarten through 8th grade are eligible to participate.  All entries must be submitted by March 19.  Click here for more information and entry form.

Congratulations to all the participants in the 2019 Young Authors Contest!  The winning stories written by our very talented Burbank School District 111 students are now available to read and enjoy right here on our website.

District 111 STEM Fair STEM

Save the Date...   Burbank School District 111 will host its STEM Fair on May 1, 2019 at Burbank School.  

Burbank School - 2018 Pride in Construction Award Recipient CISCO

We are proud to announce that Luther Burbank School was selected as the award recipient of CISCO's 2018 Pride in Construction Awards program (New Construction - Suburbs (above $20m) category). Superintendent Fleck and Board President Skowronski attended CISCO's annual meeting on February 8, along with representatives from International Contractors, Inc and Cannon Design, to accept the award.

Kindergarten Registration kindergarten

District 111 is now accepting kindergarten registration for the 2019-2020 school year.  Your child must be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2019.
