On Friday December 11, 2015 the 6th grade students, in Ms. Krzystof's class at Maddock School, enjoyed a concert of "Ancient History Parodies" by Mr. Dan Nicky. He is a certified teacher that has been performing his unique brand of educational music for ten years in the United States and Indonesia. He infuses each of his songs with fun learning opportunities by taking popular radio songs and changing the lyrics to describe ancient civilizations such as Egypt, China, Greece and Rome. This 4th visit to Maddock School was funded by a grant awarded to Ms. Krzystof through Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education. Congratualtions Ms. Krzystof and Maddock students!
Mr. Dan Nicky uses his talents to inspire and encourage children in the US and Indonesia toward a lifelong love of learning while building a bridge of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. During this visit to Maddock School he worked with the 6th grade students to write their own parody about the Berlin Wall to the tune of "Hello" by Adele. Using interesting facts of the Berlin Wall this is the song they wrote and performed. Check out the video on Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/BSD111
