Dear Burbank 111 Families,
It’s been a busy week! The district hosted eight Technology Troubleshooting Sessions for Students & Parents. We had 138 families take advantage of the help session with very positive feedback. Another session was added for next Tuesday evening, September 15 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Burbank School. Please RSVP by calling Burbank School at 708-499-0838. We’ve reached out to the community and several of our bilingual, tech-savvy parents have responded seeking more information on possibly volunteering to assist families experiencing issues with technology or remote learning. We’re also looking into setting up a student technology help desk, where students or parents can submit a request and a staff member will respond via phone to assist live. Open Forums have been scheduled for next week so that I can get parent input on remote learning and to see what the district can do for families to make the process better. Finally, the Illinois Department of Public Health continues to update their guidance for schools. Click here to view the IDPH Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Schools.
As always, we’ll continue to keep our families informed via the district website, social media, and School Messenger.
