My name is Dr. Nicole Robinson and I am the new Principal at McCord Elementary. I will officially begin on Monday, February 9, 2015. I am excited and thrilled at the opportunity to be part of this community. I come to you with experience spanning grades K-8. I bring with me eight years as an Elementary Assistant Principal in the Lansing School District. Prior to my service as an administrator, I was a Reading Specialist, Media Specialist, Gifted Teacher and 2nd Grade Teacher in the Dolton/Riverdale School District. I am elated to bring my skills as an educational leader to McCord and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.
Along with staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at McCord by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. I anticipate a most successful second half of the school year as the team and I continue to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of your child.
My passion is to ensure all students achieve their highest potential. For children to reach their greatest potential and become lifelong learners, it takes a partnership of committed administrators, teachers, parents, support staff and students.
Over the next few months, it is my hope that we will work together to provide the students of McCord the best possible opportunities in preparing them to be world-class citizens ready to master the challenges of the 21st Century with a solid foundation created here at our school. As Principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to stop in or call to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas.
I look forward to working with you and your child!
Dr. Nicole Robinson
