Update April 7, 2020: Because of Spring Break, I have not written an update. I sent everyone an email with directions on how I want you to access Teams. Those directions allow us to take attendance each day. If you don't log in through your BackPack, you will receive a phone call asking why not. If you are having difficulty, reach out to me and I'll do my best to help you. Expect additional emails from me very soon!
Update March 26, 2020: By now, I hope you are using Teams to communicate with me and upload assignments. Instead of sending me an email, send me a message through Teams. Even if I'm not online, I will respond to your message.
Update March 25, 2020: Ladies and gentlemen, you need to click on the Class Notebook tab at the top of the page to learn how to upload your assignments. Some of you have included the assignment in a Chat. That's fine for a first time, but I want you to follow the directions in the Class Notebook so I can give feedback. I do NOT want you to submit your assignments through Chat anymore.
Update March 24, 2020: Just a brief update for now. Please go to Teams and go to your class when you want to message me. I don't always see an email, but I have Teams up and running, and I will get an audible notification when you post a message. Even if I'm not online, the message will be there when I come back to Teams.
Update March 23, 2020: As we move into this second week of no classes, I want you to shift from the packet to my assignments. By now, you should have either started using Teams on your computer or another device. The lesson for today is solving systems of linear equations, and there are two videos and notes. There is also a short assignment. I will post directions on how to upload the assignment later today. To get to the lesson for today, go to Teams, open your math class, click on Files (near the top and center of the page). In there you will see a folder. Open that folder and open the PDF that has the videos (look for the file name that has Videos in the name). After you watch the video, do the short assignment. I will go over how to upload your solutions this afternoon.
To access Teams
Update March 20, 2020: On Teams, I posted a PDF that has links to the 4 videos I made. Open it and watch them to help with the packet.
Update March 20, 2020: I have 4 new videos to share, and once I find an easier way to share them with all of my teams, I will do that. It might be this afternoon. Next week, my lessons will be about the material we were learning in class before we left. There will be a video along with a very short assignment. Please complete the assignments, take a picture of the work, and upload it to Teams. To access Teams and To upload files.
Update March 19, 2020: I have done more to set up Teams. You can now leave me a message there. Here are tutorials on how to use Teams (more might be coming as I investigate the app in the coming days). Here is one to be able to access Teams and this one is to upload files.
Update March 18, 2020: I have a video posted to Teams. If you have a computer and can access Teams, it's under the File tab (in the middle on top), inside a folder called Class Materials. It is a more detailed explanation on page 3 of the math portion of the packet. I will probably post more videos like this. Stay tuned!
Update March 17, 2020: During the shut-down, I will be posting information on the web page. I am also posting lessons in Teams. Below is information on how to access Teams. Please try to get to the lesson that way, and let me know if you are able to see it. If not, the lesson is available on the web site.
Update March 16, 2020: During this shut-down time, I will be available via email from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM via email. I know you are going to have a lot of questions about the math portion of the packet. I am going to prepare some notes to help you work through the material. Please give me some time to get this up on this web page. In the mean time, work on the reading portion of the packet. As I said, I am available via email if you need any help.
