Message from the Superintendent - Plan for 2021-22

Dear BSD111 Families,

It’s hard to believe it’s already April.  The school year is moving along quickly and we’re thinking ahead to next year.  We know many of our families are curious about what school will be like for the 2021-22 school year.  The board of education and administration understand that in-person instruction is best.  This fall, we are planning to return to traditional in-person instruction, five days a week, for full days.  We also plan to have the PASS Program open for after-school care to assist our working parents/guardians.  Of course this is still dependent on the situation with COVID-19 and guidance from the Illinois State Board of Education, the State of Illinois Department of Public Health, and Orders from the Governor.  We are very hopeful to resume normal activities as we continue planning for next year.  Special thanks to the board of education for their continued support during this unique school year and as we look forward to having all students back in our schools in August.

In closing, I would like to wish all of our families and staff a wonderful spring break.  School resumes Monday, April 12.

Respectfully,

Dr. Franzy Fleck

Superintendent
