This summer, we are hosting the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. This is a group of dedicated health care providers who will visit us in a 40-foot medical truck and offer physicals, sports physicals and vaccines at no cost to students ages 4-18 who have Medicaid or no insurance. Appointments must be set prior to the event. Please contact Laura Strepek at [email protected] to set an appointment.

New and Returning Student Registration opens March 1. Parents and guardians of current students will receive an email with a direct snap-code link to register their student. Current 5th grade students moving on to Liberty next year should be registered as Returning Students. Please also note: snapcode letters indicate your child's current school. For students affected by the boundary changes - school assignments will be changed over the summer to reflect placement for the 2024-25 school year.

Will your child be five by September 1, 2024? Kindergarten registration for the upcoming school year opens March 1.

The regular meeting of the Board of Education was held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

The 2024-2025 Official School Calendar was approved at the December 20 Board of Education Meeting. The first day for students is Monday, August 19.

Our Annual Young Authors Contest was held February 21 at Tobin School. A winner from each grade level was selected as well as an overall district winner. A link to each grade level winning submission can be found here. Congrats to all our talented young authors!

The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) today announced the over 500 Illinoisans honored for their extraordinary contributions to education across the state through its annual Those Who Excel & Teacher of the Year Awards. The awardees announced today include Burbank School District’s own Dr. JR Entsminger, Principal of Kennedy School!

At last night's Board of Education Meeting, the board approved a plan to open an Early Childhood Pre-Kindergarten program at McCord School and modify some of our existing school boundaries beginning in the 2024-25 school year. We are excited for this opportunity to expand our program to support our youngest learners. Attached to this message is the map of our plan for students districtwide who may be impacted by this change. Please carefully review the changes to your child's home school. We have developed a plan that will create more equitable class sizes across the district.
