Technology Insurance

The technology device is the property of the School District and is in good working order. It is your responsibility to ensure that all hardware/software license agreements entered by the School District are observed. It is your responsibility to promptly notify the School District if there are any problems with or malfunctions of the device.

If the device is lost, stolen, or damaged, it is your responsibility to notify the school immediately. If it is determined by school officials that the technology device or any component thereof (including, but not limited to software) has been damaged through normal everyday use, wear, and tear, the School District will repair or replace the device at no cost to you. However, if the School District determines that the technology device has been lost, stolen, or has become damaged through negligence or misuse, it will be your responsibility to repair or, if it cannot be repaired, to replace the device.

The device must be returned to the School District immediately if your residency status changes and your child is no longer the programmatic responsibility of this District.

Abuse or neglect of the device that results in damages may be the financial responsibility of the student to repair. In case of theft, vandalism, or other criminal acts, a police report MUST be filed with the local police department and a copy submitted to the IT Department before the student will be issued a replacement device.
