Technology Insurance

The Burbank School District 111 annual technology insurance for students in grades Pre-K - 8 will cover the warranty and insurance for their school-issued device. This will include repairing or replacing damaged equipment resulting from accidents and normal use.
 
School-issued devices is the property of the School District and should always be in good working order. It is the students and parents/guardians responsibility to ensure that all hardware/software license agreements entered by the School District are observed. It is the parents/guardian and students responsibly to promptly notify the School District if there are any problems with or malfunctions of the device.
 
Abuse or neglect of the device that results in damages may be the financial responsibility of the student to repair. In case of theft, vandalism, or other criminal acts, a police report MUST be filed with the local police department and a copy submitted to the IT Department before the student will be issued a replacement device.

Replacement costs for lost or damaged equipment

Students need to maintain their school-issued technology equipment appropriately or pay a replacement fee for each item. Students will be charged for any items missing or damaged due to improper use. The fees associated with the items are listed below:
