Student Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

At District 111, student safety during arrival and dismissal is our top priority. We ask that all parents and guardians strictly follow the school’s arrival and dismissal traffic and safety procedures. These guidelines are in place to ensure the well-being of every student, and we appreciate your cooperation in making safety our absolute first priority.

General Pick-Up and Drop-Off Guidelines

  • Designated Areas: Drop-off and pick-up are allowed along the curb bordering the school. Please remain in your vehicle at all times while in this zone to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.
  • Prohibited Areas: Cars are not permitted along the curb opposite the school grounds. Double parking or stopping in the middle of the street is also prohibited for safety reasons.
  • Legal Requirements: All occupants in vehicles must wear seat belts, and car seats are required as mandated by State law.
  • Courtesy and Patience: We ask that drivers practice common courtesy and patience to help ensure everyone’s safety during busy arrival and dismissal times.

Crossing Guards

  • Crossing Guard Assistance: A list of crossing guard assignments is available. Please encourage your children to use crosswalks and the designated crossing guard areas to safely navigate their route to and from school.
